Riding the Heart Trail

Over the Australia Day weekend two of our Inlight team, Cam and I, will be taking on a cycling challenge for a good cause: to raise awareness for organ donation.

Last year our close friend, James, received a heart transplant and my Mum a kidney just 6 weeks after that! They are both happier, healthier and more grateful than ever and James has hatched a plan to give back: we’re going to be riding 200km along the Silo Art Trail through North West Victoria to raise awareness for organ donation. We've dubbed it Heart Trail.

Whilst 69% of Aussies think organ donation is important, only around 30% are registered donors. Our aim is to increase the number of people on the registry and to hopefully increase the conversations with family members about your wishes, as the final decision rests with them.

We’re not looking for money, we just want your organs.

Please head over to our our website www.hearttrail.com where you can follow the links to join the organ donor register. You can follow our ride on our social media pages: @hearttrailau on Facebook and Instagram

Also, you may have spotted us on Channel 9 news recently promoting our ride. If not, check it out!
